April 11, 1940 - March 24, 2012
It’s been a year now since you closed your eyes, and the Angels took your hand.
I miss you more each day. You made life an adventure. Everyday with you was remarkable.
I will always think of your kind heart, your love, and the mischievous twinkle in your eyes.
“I have found the one whom my soul loves” are the words engraved upon the ring I wear.
But gone is the face I loved so dear,
Silent is the voice I loved to hear
My souls companion, a life linked with my own
Now out of reach, too far away for sight or speech
Far away from home.
But as I gaze at his vacant chair
I hear the voice, see the smile
Of him who once sat there.
