June 18, 1927 - March 31, 2013
Marcelline Alice Henderson Beaupré, wife of the late William W. Beaupré II, left us this last Easter morning, March 31, 2013. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend with always a kind word and a cheerful laugh, she will surly be missed. The wife of a retired military veteran, she had an opportunity to see the world and gracefully held it in her arms and enjoyed all it had to offer.
In her own words:
“There are things I always wanted to do - play the piano, fly in a helicopter, safari to Africa. . .but there are so many things I have done. Owned my own horse, rode a motorcycle (Harley), took flying lessons and won a dance contest. Flew a Flying Tiger across the ocean. Held a new born alligator, rode an ostrich, and also rode in a rodeo. Drove across the U.S. twice by myself. Loved working 15 years for the telephone company and managed a yarn shop for 14 years. I married a wonderful man and had two fantastic kids. What more could anyone want to achieve in 80+ years?”
She is survived by her son, William Beaupré and his wife, Linda, of Durham, NC; her daughter, Robinjoi Beaupré-Hart and her husband, Scott, of Carson City, NV; her grandsons, Adam Jason Beaupré of San Diego, Ca and Kristopher William Beaupré of Wrightsville Beach, NC; and her brothers Daniel, Rodney, Steve, and Gene Henderson.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the people of Carson City for the love that was shared by them to her.
In lieu of flowers, Marcey enjoyed knitting caps and afghans and made baby blankets for the Ronald McDonald House in Reno, NV; donations in her name would be a wonderful gesture.
