April 13, 1928 - March 30, 2013
Joann Dudley, who lived in Fallon for more than 60 years, passed away peacefully in Reno early Saturday morning, March 30, 2013. She was born in San Francisco, CA, on April 13, 1928 and was raised in Long Beach, CA. In 1951, she moved to Fallon with her husband, Bob Dudley. After living in several locations throughout the valley, in the mid-50s they settled on Regan Place where Dudleys still live today.
Joann worked many jobs through the years including a Brand Inspector for the State of Nevada and as a bookkeeper and office manager for the family blacksmith/welding business. But mostly, she was the quintessential homemaker. She and Bob had three children but over the years her love and positive influence touched more than two dozen other young lives who became her “family”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 43 years, Bob, and her daughter, Robin. She is survived by her sons, Garry (Sandi) or Manteca, CA, and Bobby (Nan) of Kailua-Kona, HI; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At Joann’s request, no services will be held. Following cremation, she will join her beloved husband and their daughter in a secluded cove off the Big Island of Hawaii.
Any donations desired should be made to a charitable organization of choice in Joann’s name.
