Mr. Fisher, identified as the chef de cuisine of the St. Charles Hotel is visiting his old home in Europe at the Vienna Exposition. We know that the Turner’s party of last Monday was devised in his honor, as he is President of the Society.

Captain Avery has occupied the Hole-In-The-Wall just one year today and he celebrates the event by giving a reception to his patrons, a big dinner, etc. There will be boxing and fencing in the club room.

The man Waters, who was implicated in the hold up of the Donovan mill at Silver City, has completely dropped out of sight leaving his partner languishing in the Lyon County Jail.

Ernest Sweetland of Piedmont was advised Saturday that his son Ted was killed in action in North Africa three weeks ago. Only a short time ago the Appeal reprinted a clipping about a battle experience of the flier.

For at least 250 families in Carson City, milk is considered a luxury. Monte Fast of Friends in Service Helping (FISH) said many may not get any this week. Shoppers at Smith’s can now purchase a voucher for distribution through FISH.
