Aug. 4, 1928 - April 16, 2013
Theodore Simon Miller went to his rest in his sleep on April 16, 2013 in Carson City, NV. He was born the youngest of ten of Joseph and Mathilda Muller on August 4, 1928. He worked on the farm until he was drafted into the Army. He served 18 months during the Korean Conflict. He received an Honorable Discharge and a Purple Heart. After discharge, he trained at Hansen Auto School in Fargo, ND. He rented a room where he met his wife of 57 years. He went to work for Ford Motor Company but left due to poor business practices on their part. He yearned to work for the railroad, so in May, 1960 he moved his family to San Bernardino, CA. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 33 years. He and his wife then moved to Nevada in 1993.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Larry, Bill, Carl; sisters Josie, Marie, Ella and Rose; his children Timothy Gerard and Julia Ann. He is survived by his wife Marna Jane Miller (Quiggle), Son Todd William Miller, Daughter Christine Marie Edmonds (Patrick), Daughter Debra Kay Phillips (Michael), Grandchildren, David Duane Phillips, Daniel Joseph Phillips, and Scott Christopher Phillips and three other grandchildren.
A Rosary will be said Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 1:30p.m. at St Teresa’s Chapel in Carson City, NV. This will be followed by a Funeral Mass. Internment will be at Fernley Military Cemetery with full Military Honors after the Mass.
