Elvira was born in Pola, Italy, now Pula Croatia. Her father died when she was 2 and she was the youngest of 11 children. She was a tailor by trade and made clothing for dignitaries. Married to Joseph Rutski until he passed away in 2005.
Surviving are her son, John Rutski Sr; daughter, Greta Pepper; grandchildren: John Rutski Jr. & Janine, Joseph Rutski, Christopher Rutski & wife, Sarah, Rene Johnson & husband, Erik, Deanna Congiusti her husband, Vincent, Adam Mayle & wife, Billie Jo; six great grandchildren: Ean Sabin, Annabella Congiusti, Anthony Congiusti, Celena Rutski, Devin & Logan Mayle; nieces: Anna Maria Uljanic, Giusy Uljanic; nephew, Sergio Uljanic & their families; Erika Calagaz Poropat & family and her devoted friend of 40 years, Gloria Aunst.
Elvira was a devoted wife & mother and had a zest for life and loved to travel and visit family. She will be deeply missed. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Mt. View Health and Rehab for their loving care given to her during her stay.
A viewing will be at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley (1281 N. Roop St., Carson City) on Monday, May 20th from 4-8 p.m. A memorial service will be Wednesday, May 22 at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Lone Mt. Cemetery.
