Thank You from the Family of Bert Van Komen

The Family of Bert Van Komen, Emma, Kathy and Karen along with our families would like to take this opportunity to extend to each person who showed their support through prayer, phone calls, cards, flowers, food, and those who took part and helped with Dad’s funeral service and dinner; our love and heart felt gratitude goes out to all of you.

Special thanks to the care givers at the Highland Manor Care facilities who helped care for our dad the last few months of his life. We appreciate the kindness you extended not only to our dad, but also Mom and family. We would also like to thank the Smith Family Funeral Home; you are the most wonderful people to work with at a time that is very difficult in a family’s life, thank you for your support and kindness.

With gratitude and special thanks to the Fallon Seventh-day Adventist Church and Pastor Al Tilstra, we thank you for being part of Dad’s life and for all your help during this very difficult time. We thank you for the comforting words, the use of the church facilities, delicious food and your friendship; it was all very special to us and we appreciate everything you did for our family.

To our dear children, grandchildren and Mike LaBella, thank you for creating the DVDs of Grandpa Komen’s life and “Daddy’s Hand’s.” The DVDs and the program made Dad’s service very special and meaningful. We would never have been able to do without all of your help. It is wonderful to have such a supportive family!

To all our loved ones, family and friends who shared that day with us, your love and support meant more than words could ever express. Thank you so much and you will always have our gratitude and love.

May Dad rest in peace as he is awaiting our Saviors soon return!

Emma Van Komen, Kathy Melendy and Karen Zimmerman
