Obituary: Anna Mulvihill

1917 - 2013

Anna, blessed with an indomitable spirit, was born to Patrick and Mary Reynolds in Passaic, New Jersey 1917.

Surviving the Great Depression, Diphtheria, and more, Anna thrived on humor, dance, playing the piano, and prayer. She devoted her life to her husband, Paul and six children and later spent much loving time with grandchildren, making the picnic lunches for visits to Lake Tahoe and bringing in the morning coffee and doughnuts to Davis Creek Park.

As a devout city girl, she bore the task of country Mom with more ‘grit’ than enthusiasm surrounded by a multitude of domestic pets and wild type ‘intruders.’ Anna loved challenges and drew accolades for her business acumen at M&M prior to the family move to Nevada.

She was a truly beautiful Irish girl inside and out.

She will be greatly missed by grandchildren, loving nieces and nephews; brother, Joseph; sister-in-law, Edna; brother-in-law, George; daughters, Virginia (Dave Thompson), Margo, Theresa (John Rucker), and her devoted son, Paul.

She was preceded in death by husband, Paul and daughters, June (Rigsby) and Ruthanne; beloved siblings, Patrick, Marie, Emmett, Elizabeth, Gerald, and, Thomas, Viewing will be at Walton’s Funeral Home, 1281 No. Roop St. Carson City on Saturday, June 8th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A reception will follow at the Rigsby home in Carson City. Burial to be at a later date.
