Davidson’s homer leads Aces past Sky Sox

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A two-run home run by Matt Davidson in the top of the ninth gave the Aces a 5-4 edge over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Opening Night at Security Service Field. Davidson, ranked the D-backs’ No. 4 prospect by Baseball America, went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI in his Triple-A debut. The Aces and Sky Sox scored three runs apiece in the fourth inning, remaining gridlocked until the ninth.
