Our library has replaced books with video games
I don't like the changes they have made at the library. They have taken away almost all the books. The problem is they took the books that we have not read, which means that there is no good books to check out. They have replaced all the books with video games.
There is an empty building here, so why don't they make that into a library and turn the first library into a video game place if they want to have video games in there?
Economic repair requires empowering Republicans
While Republican moderates and conservatives differ on their approach in resolving our county's economic and financial problems, they do however agree that the government can't continue to borrow and spend that which is not provided by our less-than-adequate service-oriented economy.
How then do they resolve our continuing socioeconomic disaster without making it more difficult for the millions of families who have already lost everything and are totally dependent on a government check, a check they would gladly trade for a good paying job?
First and foremost, you don't remove money from an already financially stressed economy! In other words, no reductions in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and unemployment! The people didn't knowingly vote for this ongoing socioeconomic mess, and they certainly didn't vote to accept the consequences of an unknown political agenda. Nor did they vote for our present ongoing illegal immigrant problem or the horrible decline in education. So the government remains on the hook until a more friendly socioeconomic policy is in place. Which of course would require Republican control in both the House and the Senate.
If a smaller and financially weaker service oriented economy can't support the cost of foreign oil, or the expenditures and debt of a large government, why then do the Democrats continue to ignore the obvious socioeconomic benefits of energy indepndence, a smaller federal government and a more independent statehood?
