SILVER DOLLAR: March’s gaming win increased 7.6 percent compared with March 2014, fueled by Baccarat and blackjack gains. The news came out the same day we learned statewide taxable sales were up 4.6 percent in February. The taxable-sales boost was even better in Carson City, which posted an increase of 4.9 percent.

SILVER DOLLAR: Nevada’s fallen law enforcement officers were recognized in a ceremony Thursday on the Capitol grounds. We join the governor and attendees there in saluting our heroes and thanking them for the sacrifices they make in keeping us safe.
