Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested at motel on meth, marijuana counts

Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

TUESDAY

• 3:33 a.m.: A 22-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 1400 block of North Nevada Street on suspicion of arrest of probationer. According to the woman’s arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to the location on a report of a fight, where they found two women with two men who were unconscious. The woman reportedly was very intoxicated, and the deputy learned that the woman had a no-alcohol clause as part of an alternative-sentencing agreement. Bail was set at $3,000.

MONDAY

• 6:10 p.m.: Edward Lee Dauer, 62, of Carson City was arrested at North Roop Street and Northridge Drive on suspicion of DUI-first offense and basic speeding. According to Dauer’s arrest report, a deputy saw his vehicle going 43 mph in a 25 mph zone. He reportedly failed a field sobriety test. Bail was set at $1,050.

• 6:41 p.m.: A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant. Bail was set at $475.

• 8:20 p.m.: A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 100 block of Koontz Lane on suspicion of domestic battery-second offense. Bail was set at $5,000.

• 11 a.m.: A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on suspicion of petit larceny. According to the man’s arrest report, a loss-prevention officer at Walmart on Market Street saw him leave the store without paying for the 32-inch TV he was carrying. The store employee showed a deputy video of the man, who later was arrested on separate counts. Bail was set at $250.

• 11:17 a.m.: A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1100 block of Spartan Avenue on a probation-violation warrant.

• 12:10 a.m.: A 31-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant. Bail was set at $1,000.

SUNDAY

• 4:15 a.m.: A Carson City man was arrested in the 100 block of East Telegraph Street on suspicion of obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy saw him throw a punch, knocking another man to the ground in front of the deputy’s patrol vehicle. The man reportedly continue to punch the man after the deputy activated his emergency lights. The deputy reportedly Tasered the man as he approached, hands balled into fists. The Taser didn’t make good contact, and the man fled. Other deputies found him in the area of Musser and Anderson streets. Bail was set at $450.

SATURDAY

• 5:06 p.m.: Fred Garcia, 54, of Carson City was arrested in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, as well as on an arrest-of-probationer warrant. According to Garcia’s arrest report, a sergeant visited a motel to serve a warrant and saw a small plastic bag in Garcia’s room that later tested positive as methamphetamine. The Special Enforcement Team also reportedly found an ounce of marijuana. Bail was set at $8,000.

• 3:42 a.m.: A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 500 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of disorderly conduct and open container. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy was called to the Carson Nugget on a report of a fight, and the man was unable to provide a breath sample. Bail was set at $300.

• 2:05 p.m.: A 28-year-old transient was arrested in the 1400 block of North Curry Street on a contempt-of-court warrant. According to the man’s arrest report, he called the Sheriff’s Office because his dog hadn’t been returned to him. A dispatcher advised the deputy that the man had the warrant. Bail was set at $622.

• 8:53 a.m.: A man was arrested at Fifth and Roop streets on suspicion of disorderly conduct and obstructing. His address and identity are unknown. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy was called to the location on a report of an intoxicated person. The man reportedly appeared to be sleeping and smelled of alcohol, and the deputy called paramedics. The man reportedly fought the deputy, who called the Fire Department for assistance. He also reportedly slammed his head on the partition in the deputy’s patrol car. Bail was set at $450.

• 11 p.m.: Todd Christian Robben, 44, was arrested at the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony stalking by electronic means and libel, as well as two counts of intimidating a public officer. Bail was set at $50,000.

• 2:14 p.m.: A 22-year-old Dayton man was arrested at U.S. Highway 50 East and College Parkway on a failure-to-appear warrant, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and revoked driver’s license. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy ran his license plate and learned he had a warrant. When doing inventory of the man’s vehicle, the deputy reportedly found marijuana and a pipe. Bail was set at $2,600.

• 4:26 p.m.: A 52-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant, as well as on suspicion of drug paraphernalia. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy saw a bong in plain view in the man’s room while serving a warrant. Bail was set at $2,139. Also arrested was a Carson City woman, on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,000.

• 3:05 p.m.: Justin Daniel Reid, 31, of Dayton was arrested in the 500 block of North Carson Street on a DUI warrant. According to Reid’s arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to the site on a report of a fight and checked Reid for warrants. Bail was set at $25,000.

friday

• 7:15 p.m.: A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3300 block of Market Street on suspicion of domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,000.

• 8:45 p.m.: A 23-year-old Minden man was arrested in the 1800 block of North Edmonds Drive on suspicion of two counts of battery, possession of drug paraphernalia and arrest of probationer. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to Jackpot Crossing Casino on a report of a patrol who refused to leave. When the deputy arrived, he saw a security guard lying on top of the man, who reportedly had become angry after trying to cash in a winning ticket without identification. A security guard told the deputy that when he tried to push the man out of the casino, the man struck him. The deputy reportedly found a marijuana-smoking device while searching the man. Bail was set at $5,000.

• 5:10 p.m.: A 32-year-old Gardnerville woman was arrested at Walmart on Market Street on suspicion of petit larceny. According to the woman’s arrest report, she purchased some items but concealed others in her purse before leaving the store. Bail was set at $347.

• 7:28 p.m.: An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3000 block of Roop Street on suspicion of reckless driving and child endangerment. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy saw a vehicle spinning its tires in a parking lot, causing the lot to fill with smoke. A witness reportedly told the deputy her 9-year-old daughter was at the gas pumps with her and was “crying and very upset,” and other witnesses said similar things. Bail was set at $3,000.

• 5:41 p.m.: A 58-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 2100 block of East William Street on suspicion of disorderly conduct. According to the man’s arrest report, he “got in the face” of a female employee at Gold Dust West, then grabbed a security worker. As a security worker pushed the man out the door, he reportedly fought the worker. Bail was set at $150.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies, violent crimes and DUIs.
