Cahill struggles, Diamondbacks lose to Pirates 5-3

PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks’ euphoria following a three-game sweep in Milwaukee evaporated in a sputtering home loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Trevor Cahill struggled through five innings and three Pittsburgh relievers held the Diamondbacks hitless through the final five in the Pirates’ 5-3 victory Monday night. Cahill, who has both of Arizona’s losses through seven games, allowed four runs and four hits in five innings.
