Errors costly as Gaels slip past Nevada

RENO — The University of Nevada tied its season-high with four errors and managed just three hits in a 5-2 loss to St. Mary’s College on Tuesday at Peccole Park. The loss dropped the Wolf Pack to .500 on the season at 24-24 while the Gaels improved to 19-28. After three scoreless innings, the Gaels collected four hits in the top of the fourth inning to take a lead they would not relinquish 3-0.
