Aces’ Davidson wins HR derby

RENO — Kody Reynolds tried to make it a Hollywood ending to Monday’s Triple-A All-Star Home Run Derby at Aces Ballpark. Reynolds, who graduated in June from McQueen High and will attend Western Nevada College in the fall, came one homer shy of making Monday night’s final round against Reno Aces slugger Matt Davidson. Davidson, who hit six homers through two rounds, knocked off Memphis slugger Brock Peterson, 4-2, in the final round.
