Shutouts are starting to become as trendy as the latest cold going around. After beginning crossover play with the Mount Rose on Friday by shutting out South Tahoe, 11-0, the Lady Wave softball team didn’t yield a run in two games on Saturday in Dayton. Backed behind an eight-run first inning, Fallon shut down Truckee, 13-0, in the first game before using another eight-run inning to defeat Sparks, 12-0.
