Carson falls; Thurman strong on track

The Carson High softball team lost the opening game of a two-game series to Bishop Manogue on Tuesday. Carson fell 9-4. The Miners outhit Carson 9-6. Bailey Allen had two hits, Kandis Tuttle had a hit, Michelle Perry, Malia Tiffer and Skye Simpson all added hits. Erica Watson drove in two runs and Jen Purcell added an RBI. Purcell took the loss allowing nine runs, four earned on nine hits. She struck out six. Carson committed five errors. The Senators host Manogue at 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
