Wolf Pack offers hoops, soccer camps

The University of Nevada will host basketball and soccer camps this summer, the school announced this week.

The 2013 Boys Basketball Summer Camps will be conducted by Pack head coach David Carter and his staff. The camps will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, 2680 E. Ninth St. in Reno.

The camps are for boys entering grades three through eight. The first camp will take place on June 24-27, and the second is July 29-Aug. 1. They run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day with supervision provided from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily. Cost for the camp is $170 per camper.

The Pack summer camps feature individual instruction including techniques and fundamentals, offensive and defensive instruction and competitive games and drills. Participants will enjoy the positive atmosphere that comes from learning and playing basketball at the University of Nevada. Participants will receive a camp T-shirt.

All camps will have excellent supervision and will be staffed with an athletic trainer. Camps are designed to enhance each player and provide instruction based on ability and skill level. Campers will be separated by age and skill level.
