Ready to throw down

Back for the second consecutive year, the Nevada State High School Rodeo ropes into full action today. The 2013 event starts today at 9 a.m. at the Churchill County Fairgrounds. Cowboys and cowgirls, though, began Thursday with cutting, but the first and second performances, plus the Exceptional Rodeo, queen modeling and shooting event swing into full gear today. The main arena at the fairgrounds has undergone a facelift after last weekend’s Octane Fest.
