Carson Nugget hosting comedians Trenton Davis, Myles Weber and Sean Peabody
A stand-up comedian who writes for Dr. Dre’s “Beats by Dre” Pill campaign is starring at the Carson Nugget on Friday, Aug. 12.
Trenton Davis, with 10,000-plus hours of stand-up comedy under his belt, is performing at 7:30 p.m.
Davis is known for being a finalist on NBC’s “Stand Up for Diversity” and Spike TV’s “Bar Rescue.” He won the World Series of Comedy Raleigh Satellite contest and the Sacramento Comedy Festival; and landed on the podium at the prestigious Seattle International Comedy Contest. He said his unique experiences have shaped his views and contributed to his act, in which he looks at everyday problems and offers hilarious solutions.
The next comedian to hit the Nugget’s stage is Myles Weber, who has worked with some of the biggest names in comedy, including Robin Williams, Rob Schneider, Louie Anderson and Dana Carvey.
Weber’s first comedy album, “Lighter Than Mayonnaise,” debuted in the top 20 on iTunes. He has been featured on “The Ricki Lake Show” and was runner-up in the Best of the Bay Area Comedy Competition, and the winner of the Bay Area All-Star Comedy Competition. Weber’s performance is on Friday, Aug. 19.
Rounding out this month’s comedy lineup is Sean Peabody, a Reno Tahoe Comedy favorite, who performs on Friday, Aug. 26.
Peabody, a native of San Diego with a Polynesian background, will perform a mix of old and new material from his 15 years in stand-up comedy.
Doors for all shows open at 6:45 p.m. with performances at 7:30.
