Carson Nugget hosting live comedy with Rick D’Elia, Steve Bruner

A recurring sketch performer from “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” is bringing his stand-up comedy routine to the Carson Nugget.

Rick D’Elia, a finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition, will perform Friday at Carson Comedy, the Nugget’s live comedy venue.

Originally from Boston, D’Elia has appeared on shows such as “Stand-up Stand-up” on Comedy Central, “National Lampoon’s Funny Money” on GSN, “Laughs” on Fox, and “West Coast Comedy” on Starz/Encore.

He also has traveled to countries such as Japan, Korea, Italy, Bahrain and Germany to entertain U.S. troops.

The casino, at 507 N. Carson St., hosts live comedy on Fridays.

Following D’Elia the next comedian in the lineup is Steve Bruner, who will perform Feb. 24.

Bruner has delivered his laser-sharp humor on the Showtime Comedy Club Network, “An Evening at the Improv” on A&E, “Into the Night” on ABC and “The Byron Allen Show” on NBC.

Doors open at 6:45 for the 7:30 p.m. performances.
