Nevada Appeal staff report

Ayako’s Dance Studio, sponsored by Pinkerton Ballet Theatre is presenting ‘Dancing through Life’ at the Carson City Community Center, Bob Boldrick Theater at 7 p.m. Friday.

‘Dancing through Life’ follows a dancer, “Aurora,” from age 4 to adulthood and encompasses the trials and tribulations of everyday life:

The joys and sorrows of growing up, loss of a loved one, making friends, school, relationships, marriage, family, and having a child of her own who continues her journey through life. Everyone will be able to relate to all or part of the performance. It depicts the full circle of life represented through dance.

Dancers range in ages from 3-78; with the little dancers performing Shirley Temple’s “When I Grow Up” to the adults dancing to “Mother Knows Best” from Walt Disney’s “Tangled.” Six dancers portray “Aurora” from age 4 to adulthood as she grows up to become a mother herself.

General admission is $10. Admission for those 60 and older and 10 and under is $7. Tickets will be sold at the door 45 minutes prior to show time.
