Lula M. Gearhart Gerig, 93, a Silver Springs resident, died Aug. 13, 2001, at her home. No services will be held.
Ms. Gerig was born May 10, 1908, in Edon, Ohio to Joseph and Christina Kaiser Gearhart. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Martin James.
Ms. Gerig spent most of her life in Monroe, Mich., before moving to Silver Springs and the South Lake Tahoe area.
She worked at Monroe Auto Equipment. She was a member of United Auto Workers of America.
Among her survivors are her daughters Faith James of Silver Springs and Marguerite Alverson of Charlevoix, Mich., seven grandsons and 13 great-grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
