Thousands of dollars in drugs seized

A 10-month undercover investigation ended in the arrest of 10 people and the seizure of $65,000 worth of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Investigators from the Nevada Division of Investigation's Tri-Net Narcotics Taskforce, Carson City Sheriff's Department and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, executed seven simultaneous search warrants at nine locations in Carson City, Lyon County and Reno, Lt. Mike Allen of Tri-Net said Thursday.

Arrested on Carson City Justice Court warrants for suspicion of felony trafficking were: Aurelio Pacheco-Monrroy, 38; Blantie David Wilson Jr., 44; Joel Parra, 34 and Alicia Lopez-Maldonado. They are all being held on $250,000 bail.

Parra is the owner of two shoe repair shops in Carson City, Boge's Shoe Service at the Carson Mall and Zapateria Morelos on East Fifth Street.

Terri Philippi, 37, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $1,105. Arrested in Carson City by the DEA on federal warrants for unknown charges were Oralia Angon-Mosqueda, Griselda Ortiz, 20 and Pablo Chavez, 37.

In Lyon County, Arminda Castenada was arrested on a Carson City Justice Court warrant for suspicion of felony trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of methamphetamine for sale and possession of cocaine for sale in addition to a child endangerment charge. Two children found at the scene of the arrest at 6255 Crumblish Lane in Stagecoach, were released to Child and Family Services. Castenada is being held on a $657,000 bail. Also arrested with Castenada was Clara Cerduzco, 26, by the DEA on an unknown federal warrant.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff's Department, two pounds of methamphetamine, 19.5 grams of cocaine and 3.5 pounds of marijuana were seized for a combined street value of $157,760.
