Arts council to hold grant-writing workshops

The Nevada Arts Council will hold eight grant-writing workshops across the state for non-profit organizations, public institutions, and individual artists seeking funding support from the council. The workshops will be free to the public.

"Funding is increasingly competitive these days. The good news is that the Arts Council has money to award, but applicants do need to be able to competently write the grants," said Kellie O'Donnell, coordinator of the grants program.

"We'll walk applicants through the process, including narrative, budget and eligibility elements and give an overview of the grants program."

In Carson City, a workshop will be held, noon-2:30 p.m., and 4:30-7 p.m., Jan. 16 at the Brewery Arts Center.
