Brewery Arts Center offers classes in Monart drawing, stained glass and photography

The Brewery Arts Center is introducing new classes in Monart Drawing, Stained Glass Art and Photography.

Monart drawing lessons are derived from a curriculum richly balanced in the elements of composition, color theory, shading and perspective. Instructor Brenda Lockie-Knight holds a teaching credential with the State of Nevada, having studied fine arts at the University of Nevada, Reno and graphic design in Chico, Calif. The class for all ages begins Oct. 26 and runs through Nov. 20 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Stained glass art continues with Sandy Hartley who has an extensive 30-year history of involvement with glass. Students will complete their project in class and supplies are included. The class meets Tuesdays Oct. 17 through Nov. 7 from 6-9 p.m.

Well-known photographer Sallie Pryce is offering non-technical classes for children with an emphasis on the outdoors, and any type of camera is suitable including disposables. The adult class will be for 35 mm cameras only and technical and creative aspects will be taught.

Classes for both children and adults start Oct. 16 and continue through Nov. 20. For information on prices and times call Ann at 883-1976.
