The community is invited to join members of the Carson Valley United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the church parking lot to be entertained by the Capitol City Community Band from Carson City under the direction of Dick Doede. The church is at 1375 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville.
The 40-piece group will play from 6:30-7:30 p.m., and everyone is welcome. Ice cream sundaes and cones will be served throughout the performance. There is no charge for the event, although donations will be accepted.
