A 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday for suspicion of child endangerment after she reportedly left two children unattended while she was allegedly roaming the neighborhood, attempting to obtain alcohol.

According to arrest reports, Shelly Mae Page, 34, was "wandering the neighborhood for at least an hour while her children were unattended in her apartment" in the 4000 block of Pheasant Drive.

The children, 11-month-old twins, were found by deputies in a crib and a playpen in an upstairs bedroom.

When Page was interviewed at the scene, she said she drank a half-pint of vodka and was walking the neighborhood looking for something more to drink, the arrest report states.

Child Protective Services was called to the apartment and took custody of the children.

Page was held in lieu of $2,500 for the misdemeanor charge.
