Dayton volleyball team sweeps past Mineral

The Dayton volleyball team improved to 2-0 by sweeping past Mineral County 15-7, 15-10, 15-13.

Carissa Leach served for 10 points, including three aces and had four kills to help lead Dayton. Kayla Reese served for eight points and had seven kills, Rachel Hurt served for eight points and three aces, Lacey Sayre served for six points and Jennie Morphew served for four points, had five kills and three blocks.

Tee Baratti had four kills and three blocks.

Setting the attack were Reese, who had 14 assists, Cindy Lanbaugh, who had eight assists and Wendi Avila, who had four assists.

Dayton also beat Mineral County in the junior varsity match.
