Unbelievable as it is, the Carson City Board of Supervisors approved a plan to let dogs run free at Mayors Park despite the objections of resident Sally Zola.
It is difficult to understand how the Board of Supervisors has time to spend on such a trivial matter but one that will affect our neighborhood.
Sally Zola is correct that there is BLM land only one mile away where people currently run their dogs. I wonder if Supervisor Kay Bennett has a hidden agenda in her overwhelming approval of such a "dumb plan"?
The use of "pooper scoopers" by dog owners is ridiculous as we now find dog feces on our sidewalks left by irresponsible dog owners. Even more stupid is having neighbors monitoring their use!
We currently have a dog barking problem in the area and loose dogs will certainly aggravate that situation.
A current TV series "Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest" certainly applies to our brilliant board of supervisors!
