ANAHEIM, Calif. - A man found running and screaming for help Friday night a county away told police he was carjacked at Disneyland, then driven some 40 miles to south Los Angeles and abandoned there.

Residents of the city's Jefferson Park section said they heard and saw a man yelling for help shortly before 10 p.m. Friday, said Officer Don Cox, a police spokesman. The victim told officers his assailants drove off in his 1987 green Jeep Cherokee.

No other details were immediately available, Cox said, adding that Anaheim police in neighboring Orange County were taking over the investigation.

The Anaheim Police Department said late Friday its officers were en route to Los Angeles County.
