KODIAK - A 17-year-old fishing boat crewman died after attending a beach birthday party at Larsen Bay, west of Kodiak.
The body of Bryan Lewis of Henderson, Nev., was found early Thursday in the water about 75 yards off the beach, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Lewis was a crew member of the fishing vessel Dakota out of Seward. He had been missing since early Wednesday morning, when he wandered away from the bonfire, troopers said.
Lewis was wearing his jacket, shirt and undershirt when he was found, but his pants, underwear and boots were missing.
His body was sent to Anchorage for an autopsy by the state medical examiner.
