A memorial service for Sara E. Aroudian, 97, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, C-Hill Second Ward.
Mrs. Aroudian died Aug. 21, 2000, in Carson City. She was born July 15, 1903, in Nebraska to Leslie J. and Rena Waldsmith Diefendorf.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived at South Lake Tahoe.
Mrs. Aroudian retired from the Telephone Company as a traffic manager after 43 years. She was a member of Eastern Star and the Pac Bell Pioneers. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Second Ward. She loved to travel and was a loving and caring person.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Lee, in 1977; brothers, Leslie, Rueben, Paul, Walter and Mark and sister Sara.
Among her survivors are her sisters Ruth and Margie and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
