The Salvation Army will be taking applications for Christmas assistance until Saturday.
The following items are necessary when applying for assistance: picture ID for all adults such as a driver's license; Social Security cards for each child and/or birth certificates; proof of income and expenses; rental receipt made out to applicant or utility bill showing applicant's name and current address.
An appointment is required, call Vi at 887-9120.
If you miss the deadline for filling out an application, you can still get help. Bring all the above items to The National Guard Armory (Carson St. and Colorado) on Friday Dec. 22 at 4:15 p.m. to receive toys for Christmas.
