Two arrested in burglary charges

Two Carson City men were arrested Wednesday on felony charges of burglary.

According to police reports, Saul Bertran, 24, and Jaime Molina, 21, went to the victims' residence at 11:15 p.m. and tried to get them to come outside.

When the brothers refused, Molina and Saul allegedly kicked in the door and began to hit the victims. During the battery, the booking report states Beltran was wielding a crescent wrench "in an attempt to strike one of the brothers," he was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies were called to the home by neighbors hearing the commotion. On the way to the incident, officers stopped a fleeing vehicle with Beltran and Saul inside.

According to police reports, the victims identified the two men, and they were placed under arrest.

Molina was charged with burglary, destruction of property and disturbing the peace. He is being held at the Carson City Jail on $15,375 bail.

Bertran was charged with burglary and assault with a deadly weapon, both felonies, and disturbing the peace. He is being held without bail at the Carson City Jail. Both men are expected to appear in Carson City Justice Court this morning.
