Two remain hospitalized after explosion

LAS VEGAS - Two of the four people injured in a gasoline tanker explosion on U.S. Highway 95 remain hospitalized - one critically - Friday at University Medical Center.

Herman Lockeby, 53, of Las Vegas was reported in good condition Friday morning after undergoing surgery Wednesday night for a broken left arm, a nursing supervisor said.

Lockeby was driving the Williams Tank Lines double-tanker that exploded Wednesday when it was hit by a semi-truck towing another rig on southbound U.S. 95.

Ronald Beal, 39, of Las Vegas was driving the semi-truck and had two passengers.

Charles Bishop suffered internal injuries and remains in critical condition, a nursing supervisor reported.

Beal and his other passenger David Hill were treated and released Wednesday.
