1999 fish seasons close in Humboldt

The 1999 trout fishing season will close on Nov. 15 at Blue Lakes, Catnip Reservoir and Onion Valley Reservoir. Those waters are all located in northern Humboldt County.


- Blue Lakes has a limit of five trout, only boats without motors are permitted and the area is closed to vehicular traffic. It will re-open on the second Saturday in June.


- Catnip Reservoir has a limit of zero fish, catch and release fishing only, with artificial flies or lures, with single barbless hooks. It will re-open on Sept. 1.


- Onion Valley Reservoir has a limit of five trout, Boats must be operated no faster than five nautical miles per hour. It will re-open on June 12.
