Alpine championships postponed

The Nevada Ski Racing League state alpine championships, which were scheduled to begin on Saturday at Mt. Rose, have been postponed until next weekend. The races have been postponed due to poor weather and up to 100 mph winds on the mountain.

The state meet is now set to start on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the girls' competition. The boys races will start at 1 p.m. The competition will resume Sunday at 10 a.m.

The Carson girls enter the event as one of the favorites, having compiled a undefeated dual meet season.
