Carson Performing Arts and the Brewery Arts Center are co-producing a Northern Nevada Ensemble Theatre Co. production of Sondheim's "Sweeney Todd," featuring the combined talents of music and theater educators, students (juniors and seniors), alumni and community members.
Auditions for the production are being held at Carson High School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Auditioners should be prepared with a 16-bar song that best displays their vocal range, a resume and photo (if possible). There will also be cold readings and and interviews.
Production dates are Oct. 5-7 and Oct. 12-14, with most rehearsals slated for August and September. Some lead roles have been cast but many other lead roles and all of the chorus slots are available.
