Brief: defiant child seminar

A daylong seminar on defiant, chronically misbehaving, hard-to manage children and teens will occur Tuesday at the Plaza Hotel. The seminar, "Reaching the Difficult Child or Adolescent - Answers for Oppositional Defiant Disorder," provides detailed strategies for preventing and resolving conflicts in family, school, residential and peer group settings. It is open to the public and intended for parents and professionals in residential, school and mental health settings.

The presenter is psychologist-author John F. Taylor, Ph.D., who has produced several resources in this topic area, including "Understanding Misbehavior," "Anger Control Training for Children and Teens," "Motivating the Uncooperative Student," "Creative Answers to Misbehavior," and "Helping Your Hyperactive ADD Child."
