The Carson City Library is hosting a program by Gardeners Reclaiming Our Waysides Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
The free program is part of a group's lecture series. Landscape architect Thomas A. Stille will present two conceptual landscape plans for the proposed linear park to skirt the Carson City freeway.
Soils, slopes, views, irrigation methods and suitable plants will be discussed.
The presentation is based on the freeway and linear park but the tips given could be put to use in anyone's garden.
The lecture series are made possible in part by a grant from the Nevada Division of Urban Forestry and the U.S. Forest Service.
The lecture will be in the library auditorium. Refreshments will be served. Call 887-2244.
