First United Methodist Church will observe Shrove Tuesday on Saturday, March 4, at 5 p.m.
The evening features a bean bakeoff and fun-time to raise funds for the youth of the church. There will be a contest for best bean dish or soup with ribbons and prizes going to the winners. There also will be games including, "Who Wants to be a Biblical Millionaire," music and more.
The public is welcome to participate in the bean bakeoff. Call Sandy at 882-1436. Donations will be accepted at the door.
