Gardnerville/Minden businesses are asking residents to donate to the needy by patronizing their businesses.
There are a number of options:
- Carson Valley Garden and Ranch Supply, 1144 Highway 395, Gardnerville, will donate $5 to Project Santa Claus for every 'fresh cut only' Christmas tree purchased.
- Economy Transmission/One Stop Automotive, 1569 Highway 395, Minden, has several options: 1) bring in two cans of food and receive an oil change, lube and filter for $9.99; 2) purchase four tires or two studded tires and they will donate a bike helmet to Project Santa Claus; 3) have your transmission rebuilt and they will donate four bike helmets.
- Hamdogs Restaurant, 1627 "K" Highway 395, Gardnerville, is a collection point for anyone wanting to donate food or bike helmets for ages 3-adult.
