Music Professor Emeritus Ron Williams presents a concert for the benefit of piano scholarships at the University of Nevada, Reno at 7 p.m. Feb. 13.

He will be assisted by members of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, Dr. James Winn and Jennie Tibben-Lembke of the UNR music faculty.

The program provides an opportunity to residents to hear music by Czechoslovakian composers, including Smetana, Dvorak and Martinu in the form of solo piano music, duo-piano, accompanying and ensemble roles.

Dr. Williams appears annually in concert to help support the piano scholarship fund named in his honor upon his retirement from the UNR Music Department. These scholarship awards are to help attract and assist outstanding students majoring in piano at UNR.
