The annual Nevada Early Childhood Conference will be held from 12:30-5 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Saturday at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Pre-conference sessions run between 9 a.m. and noon Friday morning.
This year's conference subjects include family child care, infants and toddlers, kindergarten, preschool, Head Start, multi-age, grades 1-3, before and after school care, inclusion, supporting families and administration.
Keynote address is 1 p.m. Friday and guest speaker is Diane Levin, professor at Wheelock College, Boston, Mass.
Conference welcome will be at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, by Mary Peterson, Nevada superintendent of public instruction.
