A memorial Mass for Gerald Henry Kleinfieldt Sr., 67, a Carson City resident for the past nine years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mr. Kleinfieldt died Dec. 19, 2001 in Reno. He was born July 24, 1934, in Aurora, Ill.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Mr. Kleinfieldt was a retired painter/paper hanger and a member of Painters Union Local 79, Colorado Springs. He was an avid bowler, sports enthusiast and a huge Oakland Raiders fan. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila.

He served in the U.S. Navy during Korea.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Among his survivors are his wife of 49 years Patricia of Carson City; sons Gerald J. of Colorado Springs, Michael of Westminster, Colo., Anthony of Carson City and Adam of Sterling, Colo.; daughters Christine Simmons of Dayton, Kathleen Bentley of Colorado Springs, Laurie Sheets of Carson City and Tamara Shappell of Henderson, Ky.; sisters Jane Rozell of Aurora, Ill., Florence Dorris of West Sacramento, Calif. and June Baer of Kansas City, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
