Gov. Kenny C. Guinn has proclaimed Wednesday as "It's OK to Talk About Death Day."

This observance will recognize the importance of talking about and planning for a good death and to remind all Nevadans of their ability and responsibility to transform death into a subject openly discussed by all.

A free educational program will be presented at the Carson City Library at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Nevada Center for Ethics and Health Policy in partnership with KNPB Channel 5, the State of Nevada Division of Aging Services, Nevada State Library & Archives and the Senior Citizen's Law School, Inc.

A team of professionals, including volunteer lawyers and health care providers will be available to represent the seminar on Advance Health Care Directives and to assist attendees in signing a "Declaration to Your Physician." Guests must be 18 years of age or older to complete advance care planning documents.

Call 327-2309.
