CARSON CITY (AP) - Leonard Gang, executive director of the state Commission on Judicial Discipline for six years, is retiring Sept. 30.

Gang, who served 2 years as a district judge in Las Vegas, says he has no plans to continue practicing law. He turns 65 in July and says he'll continue to live in Incline Village, at Lake Tahoe.

Twenty-two applications received for his $105,951-a-year commission job have been narrowed to four. The commission will meet April 10 in Las Vegas to choose Gang's successor. The panel is empowered to discipline errant judges in Nevada.
