To the editor:
The Carson City Raiders Booster Club recently held its annual Christmas Commitment fund-raiser. Due to the generosity of many private citizens and businesses, the fund-raiser was a rousing success.
The board of directors and members of the club would like to thank the following for their contributions:
Big Al's Good Time Pizza *and stuff*, Gary's Sports Cards and Collectibles, Grandma Hattie's, Avon, Javelin's, Ed's Dog House, Eagle's FOE Carson Aerie No. 1006, Elks BPO Carson City Lodge No. 2177, and the individuals who donated items for the live auction.
More than 300 pounds of food was collected and donated to the Advocates to End Domestic Violence "Share Your Holiday" food drive, and more than 100 batteries for the Eagle Valley Children's Home to keep their toys operating.
We regret if any names have been omitted. Be sure to know everyone and every donation was greatly appreciated.
