In reading the accident article on the front page June 16, I would like to make comment and ask the drivers of Highway 395 to take heed of the accidents.

Being new to Nevada, I am appalled at the pushiness of the 395 drivers. I drive the speed limit and cars pass me on the left or the right at least 15-20 mph faster than I am going. They tail me so close I can read their T-shirt slogans or see what they are holding in their hands. The tailgating is illegal.

Having just taken a driver's license test for this state, I can assure you drivers out there that it is against the law to tailgate so close. Please back off, please drive the speed limit, please don't be so impatient to get wherever you're going that you have to be unsafe!

When I read an article like the one this morning, I have to wonder if it was caused by the tailgating and unsafe speeds. Thank you for slowing down so accidents are prevented.
